I know you think we might have been lost in the Bermuda Triangle due to lack of posts. Well, we have been fishing and playing hard so I am up early to try to catch up. I have a LOT to write about so stay tuned :)
Tuesday's forecast was for thunderstorms in the area so we decided to take a day off from fishing and tour Cat Island. No trip to Cat is complete without a trip to Mt. Alvernia and the Hermitage. Mt. Alvernia, the highest "mountain" in the Bahamas at a whopping 203 feet above sea level, is the spot Father Jerome chose to build his retirement home. It is well worth the hike up the rocky hillside for the view...
Next stop was the "pink sand beach" at what I call the "end of time." Greenwood is a resort owned by a German couple and their sons and I mean you drive and drive and drive and then you arrive. We all enjoyed cheeseburgers (finally some red meat) on the patio and CTM, Dr. Dave, and Leann took a walk on the beach. Most of you know my dirty little secret by now but in case you don't....I HATE THE BEACH!!!!
I am sitting safely on the porch in the background :)
Since this is probably as accurate as Brandon Beck the "Weather Rock" will be appearing soon at Pontiac Cove :)
Stay tuned for fishing reports :) Catch you on the flip flop....
