It took Freddie and CTM about 30 minutes to sort out the mess but soon we were on our way. Other than one Mr. Barry Cuda landed we had no other catches. So....we decided to anchor up and do some reef fishing. Any of you that know Freddie know that if a spot doesn't suit him then up comes the anchor in search of a better spot. And any of you that know me know that I HATE TO ANCHOR!!! It is always an unpleasant experience. FIVE, yes FIVE, spots later we loaded up with Queen Triggerfish and an assortment of Snapper... Phew!!!! We then trolled the edge on our way back to Bimini in hopes of snagging some unsuspecting Mahi. No luck on that :( We did, however, take our Queens to "The Anchorage" for a cook your catch dinner. I will have to say that I think it is one of the best tasting fish in the ocean!
Today we are finally going to take a day off for some much needed R & R. It helps that the "wind is blowing harder now 50 knots or thereabouts" (well not 50 knots but 20 knots) so it makes it easier to take the day off. Going to spend the day searching out old friends, Sherry and Millie, searching for some fresh cinnamon and raisin Bimini bread, biking down to the conch salad shack, and probably drinking some Kaliks and rum :) The only thing keeping the day from being perfect is that Lola Bean and Oscar are in Missouri!!!
Catch you on the flip flop.....
CJM
