Dave and Leann arrived Thursday afternoon and it continued to rain and the wind continued at 20+ knots :( So....we spent the rest of Thursday and Friday preparing for a long dry spell....yes, we were moving to Spanish Wells on Saturday and it is DRY! Well, they don't mind you drinking there they just don't sell it there. So...that being said, we made a run to the liquor store to stock up on Kalik Light :)
This being our last day on Harbour Island we visited all of our favorite bars for one last round of Happy Hours and enjoyed some fruity libations.....
Saturday morning the seas finally calmed and the rain finally stopped :) We made arrangements for "Little Woody" to meet us at 8:00 a.m. sharp to "pilot" us through the treacherous and notorious Devil's Backbone for the move to Spanish Wells. Meet "Little Woody"......
And his boat....
We met Little Woody's son, Benson, at the dock when we arrived in Spanish Wells and made arrangements to meet him at 1:00 to head offshore for some much needed fishing since we had had a LONG DRY SPELL.....from fishing that is :) Stay tuned for the fishing report!
Catch you on the flip flop....
